Roasted Pears with Honey-Candied Walnuts

This perfect fall dessert is a delicious and easy way to use some of that abundant pear crop.

Ingredients

2 large ripe pears
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp Aunt Sue’s® Raw & Unfiltered Honey
1/4 cup honey-candied walnuts

For Candied Walnuts:
1 1/2 cups walnuts
1 tbsp butter
3 tbsp Aunt Sue’s® Raw & Unfiltered Honey

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Cut the pears in half, scoop out the seeds and place on a baking sheet.
Sprinkle with cinnamon, top with candied walnuts and drizzle 1/2 teaspoon honey over each one.
Bake in the oven 30 minutes.
Remove, let cool and serve with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!

To make the candied walnuts:
Line baking sheet with parchment.
In non-stick skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in honey.
Mix in the nuts.
Cook over medium heat, stirring often for 5 minutes until well coated and slightly toasted.
Spread nuts on cookie sheet and separate nuts. Let dry and cool.
Keep leftover candied walnuts for salad and ice cream toppers.
