Fire Cider

Ingredients

2 cups apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup AUNT SUE’S® RAW & UNFILTERED Honey

1/2 cup horseradish, grated

1 orange

1 lemon

5 garlic cloves

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

Directions

Combine grated horseradish, garlic cloves and cayenne pepper into a 1.5-2 quart mason jar. Zest the lemon and orange, then squeeze remaining juice from both fruits into jar. Pour apple cider vinegar into jar to the top. Seal the jar. Use a piece of parchment paper between lid and jar to keep vinegar from touching the metal. Shake well and and store in a cool place for 3-4 weeks. Shake once a day! After 3-4 weeks, add honey and shake well again. Cider should taste sweet and spicy. Once opened, store in the refrigerator. You can add additional spices and foods like cinnamon, jalapeños, ginger, turmeric and rosemary to adjust your flavors and provide that extra punch of flavor.
